Sternbergia
greuteriana is a tiny golden bulb that flowered in the dying days
of autumn, overshadowed by petite, but relatively tall, Narcissus viridiflora, green and redolent, I thought, of foxes (but
how could I know?). Winter has begun and the first Cyclamen coum has opened, cerise, dazzling.
