All this fabulous rain has extended
spring, or so it seems: wildflowers continue their colorful display, frogs are
loud at night, and some garden plants are re-flowering (Philadelphus) or continuing like Fairy’s Fishing Rods (Dierama, one of my favourite perennials,
above). Heck, we’re still picking peas (nibbling them, few reach the kitchen). Soon
summer’s heat will sear the green but just now I am loving the profusion of
little blooms, flitting birds and even the fleeting spring verdure of my tiny
round lawn.
